Integration Associates Announces Strategic Marketing Agreement with Sensory, Inc.

Companies are First to Combine Speech Recognition and Wireless Connectivity at Breakthrough Price/Performance Ratio for Toys and Consumer Electronics

Mountain View, CA - January 20, 2004...Integration Associates, a fabless semiconductor company, and Sensory, the world leader in embedded speech technologies, today announced they have entered into a strategic agreement to co-market Integration Associates' new EZRadio™ wireless chipset with Sensory's speech Recognition Synthesis and Control (RSC) chipset. The partnership brings together for the first time speech recognition and wireless connectivity at a breakthrough price/performance ratio for next generation toys and consumer electronics. This partnership is expected to create innovative products such as voice activated remote controls, voice controlled garage door openers, interactive toys, and biometric keyless entry through speaker verification.

EZRadio is a FSK (frequency shift keying) receiver/transmitter chipset that enables low cost, high performance wireless connectivity. EZRadio incorporates a unique Automatic Antenna Tuning technology (patent pending) into a highly integrated RF (radio frequency) chipset, which provides extremely reliable connectivity for low power, low data-rate RF communications. In addition, EZRadio includes features designed to extend battery life and enable smaller end-user products.

Sensory's latest chip, the RSC -4128, integrates speech recognition, speech synthesis and product control. The chip contains a general purpose 8 bit microcontroller which handles all product gameplay. The recognition and synthesis files are very easy to develop with Sensory's new Quick Tools. Quick T2SI allows the rapid creation of speaker independent sets with very high accuracy, even in the presence of noise. By simply typing the desired wordset into a computer, the speech files can be processed, edited, and downloaded onto the chip, making a task which previously took months into just a few minutes. Quick Synthesis allows similar ease of development for speech output
