BlueGenie™ Voice Interface for Bluetooth® Mono and Stereo Headsets, and now Hands-Free Car Kits!
BlueGenie™ Voice Interface Enables the Safest, Most User-Friendly & Feature Rich Bluetooth Devices
Sensory’s BlueGenie Voice Interface Solution for CSR’s BlueCore5 chip allows manufacturers of Bluetooth enabled Headsets and Hands-Free Car Kits to implement full voice control with natural sounding speech prompts and Caller ID names in their solutions. This enables a dramatic leap forward in user friendliness in removing the historic need for confusing button presses, LED flashes, tone beeps, and manually interacting with the phone while driving.
Typical Bluetooth headset users frequently take their eyes off the road to look at the phone’s display to determine Caller ID before answering, or to determine headset connection status, or to locate and push buttons for speed-dial calling. Sensory is leading the way by enabling the market to move to a 'hands on the wheel, eyes on the road' usage model called "Truly Hands-Free" that dramatically improves safety and features while also reducing user confusion at the same time.
BlueGenie Voice Interface - Technology Suite:
Speaker Independent Voice Recognition
With no user training required, enable simple voice commands to replace confusing button pushes and control operations such as pairing, connection, dialing, battery check and other operations. The user can always ask for help with the command “What Can I Say?”
In products using dual microphones, Sensory has integrated a beamforming technology into its recognition system to improve performance in noise by ~ 7 dB. With other recognition or beamformers this is not possible because the memory size is too constrained. As a result the Sensory recognizer performs noticeably better in noise than any competing solution.
Small Footprint Text-to-Speech (TTS)
For systems with access to the Caller ID name, our TTS solution can inform the user of the caller’s name with a highly intelligible synthesized pronunciation before letting the user answer or ignore the call with a simple voice command.
Sensory's TTS can be custom morphed so that any voice in any language can be used as a male, female, adult, child, or alien sounds. No longer do Bluetooth product manufacturers need to approach the carriers with "the same old voice". Sensory customers can adjust and create their own custom settings and TTS voice so that their voice is unique and different than others quickly, easily and with no extra costs
Sensory's TTS morphing technology can be applied in realtime during phone calls, creating a fun and exciting new use of a headset for a younger game-friendly audience. It can also enhance safety by disguising a voice during communcations.
Sensory has a TTS text reader that can understand and interpret SMS abbreviations like LOL.
Never force the user to take their hands off the wheel and eyes of the road to reach up, locate a specific button, and press it. Any car kit can be “Truly Hands-Free” with the user simply having to say a command such as “Hello BlueGenie” to wake up the system to listen for an operational voice command.
Sensory's patented phrase spotting technology used in Truly Hands-Free mode also significantly improves performance of customized commands sets used in heavy noise. When a phone call comes in and the BlueGenie enabled device is listening for "Answer" or "Ignore", it must overcome the load noise created by the ring tones in the background. The new phrase spot Answer/Ignore solves this difficult issue and allows hands-free phone answering (or rejection) without the problems of other technologies.
SX Compressed Voice Synthesis
Sensory has in-house technologies for high quality offline recording and compression of speech to a compact size that can be decompressed on a Bluetooth chip, to exact replication of any spoken person. Data rates vary with compression technique between 8Kbps and 32Kbps. This technology is available in over 20 languages.
Replace confusing LED flashes and beeps with a natural sounding voice completely customizable to give a headset or car kit its own unique “personality”. Pairing help, connection and battery status, confirmation of calling operations, and other useful help prompts help ensure the user never has to open the user guide, call tech support, or return the device because they were confused by the user interface.
BlueGenie Application Suite:
The BlueGenie application suite was developed from years of experience in satisfying customer desires and user interface requirements. It is designed for working within the constraints of the CSR system.
These applications are provided in source code with sample applications for our customers. We offer programming flows, and all required recognition vocabularies and synthesis prompts to quickly implement BlueGenie products and bring them to market.
